The DIGITAL FIREFLY is an article that outlines a non-profit organization's digital transformation journey under thoughtful and ambitious leadership.

It aims to provide the reader with an intimate view of digital transformation at work by skillfully dissecting what the organization has done, what they are working on, and the direction the organization is heading in. In short, it's a clear view of their digital business strategy and transformation.

The transformation was a response to legislative change in January 2019 and was accelerated in March 2020 by the COVID-19 pandemic. CINTA & Co. proposed and supported implementing a digital transformation strategy towards a customer-centric organization that is more data-driven, harnesses the power of machine learning, capitalizes on the economy of bits, and enables the ecosystem in which it exists.

The implementation process accounts that effective design and digital tools and platforms result from the users' mindsets and behaviours. The proposed system dictates that the organization asks its staff to be open-minded, agile, committed to being on a continuum of learning about the customer and testing their newfound knowledge.

Complementary to this mindset and behaviour is applying a customer-focused design thinking methodology to develop a variety of offerings. Transforming the organization towards a Data-Driven Decision-making culture (DDD) and leveraging digital technology is a challenging road recognized by enhancing the relationship with students, expanding reach, and improving satisfaction.
